Overview The 800 GB/1.6 TB LTO4-120 Internal Tape Drive from Dell™ is a high-performance, high-capacity tape storage device that is designed to back up and restore data and archive and retrieve files in an Open Systems environment. The drive can be integrated into a system. The LTO4-120 tape drive offers a formatted cartridge capacity of up to 800 GB, compressed capacity of 1.6 TB and a data transfer rate of 120 MB per second. This tape drive features a 3 Gbps Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Interface. The LTO4-120 tape drive also incorporates Application Managed Encryption (AME) functionality. The drive features Failsafe leader capture mechanism with pin pick error recovery and TapeAlert support for enhanced diagnostic and troubleshooting. It supports WORM (Write Once Read Many) media and is backward compatible with LTO2 (Read) and LTO3 (Read/Write). This product has been tested and validated on Dell™ systems and is compatible with select Dell™ PowerVault™ Systems. It is supported by Dell™ Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
